The programme will once again bring Edinburgh to life
as a city of story and radiate storytelling out from the capital
across the country with the Festival on Tour strand, with events in
Orkney, Fife, Aberdeenshire, Glasgow, Dundee and Clackmannanshire to
name a few.
Evening events ensure adults enjoy warming nights alongside a rich
programme of family friendly events in a variety of locations around the
city, including a family weekend with a special focus on the next
creative wave of young storytellers.
There will be specific anniversary events for Walter
Scott and Literary Edinburgh, commemorations of WWI, and a retelling of
Scotland’s sense of its own historical narrative with Andy Cannon’s Tales of a Grandson, in partnership with the MacRobert Arts Centre and the National Museum of Scotland.
Tales of a Grandson tickets are already on sale through Festival Theatre and if you book before Sunday 21 September you can save £5.
Further news on tickets and the full programme for the world’s number one celebration of storytelling traditions coming soon!
